In this Art Skills Build Workshop we will be experimenting and exploring block printing. You will have opportunity to create a block using cutting and carving tools. This workshop is for students aged 15 to 19 who would like to learn and develop their art skills.

You are welcome to bring your sketchbook and objects with you to develop into printing blocks. We will also take a look at the folk banner from the current exhibition by Sam Frances in Gallery 1 and 2, the exhibition could be a starting point for inspiration. The experiments and samples that you create in the workshop will be great for GCSE and A-Level portfolios. We will be using printing inks that can stain clothes so we suggest you wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy. Also please note we will be using sharp tools and equipment.
