Feral Beings Mask Making

Saturday 21st March 2026

10am - 3pm

Watchet Community Centre, Watchet Memorial Ground

For ages 16 and over

Free, booking required

Join us for a day of making papier mache masks of your favourite ‘Feral Being’ in a workshop to celebrate the beings we share our home with, led by artists Jenni Dutton and Catherine Heard. This could include an animal, plant, fungi, landscape feature or even a mythological creature.

The day will be focused on making the cardboard base and papier mache form. Please bring a packed lunch and clothes appropriate for messy play!

There will be later sessions to decorate your mask on the evenings of Monday 13th April and Monday 27th April 5.30pm - 7.30pm at East Quay.

In order to help you decide which 'being' you would like to make a mask of, you are welcome to take ‘prompt cards’ from the reception at East Quay and take part in further activities in a project called ‘Community of Beings’ by the Understory Team at Onion Collective.

These include a session on network mapping, a masked dance at May Day and a procession later in the year.
