FILM & DISCUSSION: Communities Doing Things Differently

DATE: Thursday 26th November 2026
TIME:
7.00 - 8.45 pm
LOCATION:
East Quay Kitchen
COST:
£5 per person, soup included

As the evenings draw in, join us for warming bowls of soup and inspiring conversation about how communities can come together to shape their futures.

Over the coming years we'll explore some of the big questions facing rural towns today, looking at creative, community-led approaches to areas like power, water, food and health.

Following on from our SPACE symposium, we're starting with the role of shared spaces and how they help us connect, belong and get things done together. We'll watch a short film about community in New Zealand, where a thriving hub brings people together to learn, grow, create, share skills and support one another. Afterwards, we'll share ideas from our symposium and explore how East Quay could grow and adapt to support our community into the future.

Whether you're new to the area or already involved, we'd love you to join us.

Bring your ideas and questions, or simply come along and listen. Everyone is welcome!
