FOLK JUICE: Mummers and Ballads

Folk Juice: Mummers and Ballads
A monthly gathering to share folk knowledge

Date: Tuesday 2nd June 2026
Time: 5.30-7.30pm
Location: East Quay Kitchen*
Cost: Free!

Come and help us learn about and imagine our own community Mummers play together!

Mummers’ plays are traditional folk dramas, delivered by masked performers drawn from the local community. The plays often depicted well known tales like Robin Hood, or St. George and the Dragon.

Ours might involve St. Decuman and his cow, a raven or two, a mouse, a cat, a beech tree, a fox, an owl..........

Bring your mask if you have made one at Folk Juice already and join in the fun.

Free, all welcome.

Coming Up:
