FOLK JUICE: Mummers plays continued....how do we shape a story of place?

Folk Juice: Mummers plays continued
A monthly gathering to share folk knowledge

Date: Tuesday 2nd June 2026
Time: 5.30-7.30pm
Location: East Quay Kitchen*
Cost: Free!

Come and help us learn about and continue to imagine what a Folk juice Mummers play could be!

Mummers’ plays are traditional folk dramas, delivered by masked performers drawn from the local community. The plays often depicted well known tales like Robin Hood, or St. George and the Dragon.

In July’s gathering of Folk Juice, we will be continuing to create a story of our place together, with characters and storylines from local tales.  We’ll also be imagining what each character might wear.

Come, join us for light hearted playfulness, no skill or knowledge needed, all welcome. Free

Coming Up:
7th July — Mummers plays continued
4th August — Country wine and song
1st September — Foraging and seasonal recipes
6th October — Folk Disco and Hokey Cokey!
