Join artist Ione Maria Rojas in Studio 10, and learn how to make your own watercolour inks from flowers, plants and food waste.

Watch ink making in practice at this colour-making demo and drop-in session, where you’ll have the chance to try an ‘instant ink’ method for testing colours from plants and flowers, and pick up an easy ink-making recipe. You’ll meet some of the commonly used dye plants and see which food waste ingredients give the best colours for artwork.

There'll be time for creative play and drawing with the inks, as well as demos for how to expand your range of colours.  

Open to all, under 16s to be accompanied by an adult.

Running time varies, expected between 20-40 minutes, but you're welcome to stay longer and keep playing!
