Introduction to Screenprint - One Day Workshop

Experience: This workshop is suitable for beginners along with anyone looking to refresh their fundamental screenprinting skills.

Overview: An exciting one-day workshop exploring the fundamentals of screenprinting. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills, this hands-on course will guide you through the essential techniques behind creating a successful screenprint, whilst also exploring simple, creative variations on the process.

Expect to experiment and produce a collection of your own unique prints to take home. Prior experience isn’t required and by the end of the workshop, you’ll have a solid understanding of this process and the confidence to use the equipment safely and independently. This session offers an excellent foundation for continuing your screen-printing journey.

Learn how to:

Prepare a screen for UV-exposure.

Expose a screen using your own image or stencil.

Print onto paper with water-based inks, using multiple layers.

Materials and equipment: We will be creating our own stencils on the day using different mark making and paper cutting techniques. If you would prefer to work with a specific photo or image, please feel free to send this to printstudio@eastquaywatchet.co.uk and Lily will prepare this for you in advance. All other materials and equipment will be provided.
