Experience: This workshop is suitable for all, whether you are a complete beginner with no printmaking experience, or a more experienced printmaker looking to incorporate new approaches into your work.

Overview: Join us in the East Quay Print Studio for an exciting workshop exploring mono printing. Learn and experiment with different techniques to create your own collection of one-off prints to take away. We will work with a variety of materials to create wonderful layers of texture in our prints.

The term monoprint describes a unique method used to produce a single, one-off print, rather than a multiple. This experimental technique incorporates a mixture of painting, drawing and printmaking.

During the day we will experiment with texture and mark making techniques to create different compositions, taking a relaxed, exploratory approach. You will end the day with your own collection of monotype prints to take away.

Materials and equipment: Please feel free to bring along any old prints and images that you may wish to incorporate into your prints. All other materials will be provided.
