Music Club Lab Session: Chacarera and Tango

East Quay’s monthly Music Club offers a relaxed space to explore sound and movement, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced musician. The club runs two types of sessions each month:

Lab Sessions – Held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, these guided workshops focus on a specific theme or concept, exploring sound, percussion, voice, and creative techniques. Please book a ticket for these sessions
Open Sessions – Held on the 4th Wednesday of each month, these informal, free-flowing jams welcome everyone to experiment, improvise, and enjoy making music together. These are drop-in sessions, so no need to book - just come along!

Led by multi-instrumentalist and composer Sebastian Tesouro, Music Club is open to anyone aged 18 and over. No prior experience is required — just bring your curiosity, ideas, and a love of music. Occasionally, sessions feature guest musicians for special explorations.

This workshop blends the structured elegance of Argentine Tango with the vibrant, syncopated rhythms of Chacarera, a traditional Argentine folk dance. It is designed to enhance your creative expression by combining percussion, rhythm, and collaborative movement.

Feel free to bring your own instrument. We will conclude the session by bringing all your new skills together for an immersive, fun, and relaxed jam.

23rd September 2026 - Open Session (drop-in)

14th October 2026 - Lab: Candombe and Samba (book a ticket)

Get ready to experience the power of two of the most vibrant rhythms on the planet! In this hands-on workshop, we will dive deep into the infectious grooves of Candombe and Samba.

Feel free to bring your own instrument. We will conclude the session by bringing all your new skills together for an immersive, fun, and relaxed jam.
