Flautist Nicola Woodward joins us to perform 12 Fantasies for Solo Flute by Teleman in aid of Palmusic
Booking essential - Pay what you can

In his day Telemann was considered to be on a par with Bach and Handel. The incredible 12 Fantasies in 12 different keys are a sort of 'well-tempered clavier' for the flute and a demonstration of what the instrument could do on a technical and emotional level.

Telemann was a survivor of tragedy, a prolific composer, a traveller and a pioneer of music printing techniques and composer's rights. His output is cosmopolitan, innovative, interesting and varied - the Fantasies draw on styles of other nations, vocal arias, polyphony and even the sound of a full orchestra.

This concert is to raise money for PALMUSIC, a UK charity which supports the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine. The ESNCM facilitates music making for young people at all levels and is currently on a mission to train teachers and ex-students to take music to children in camps and other dire situations across Palestine.  All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Palmusic.
