Come and join us for site-specific performances of "55", a powerful and intimate duet performance by Ernie, 18, and Gerard, 73 - two highly skilled artists from different generations, brought together by trust, movement, and shared expression.

Ernie is a boxer, singer, and alumnus of the National Youth Dance Company and Gerard arrived at Stacked Wonky after working with the likes of Improbably Theatre, Punchdrunk, and Pina Bausch. Together, they form a beautiful duet that spans two ends of life.

55 years between them
A duet for the two ends of life

"55" is Ernie's idea, and has been specifically crafted for the spaces and places of East Quay by Stacked Wonky, an arts organisation known for its wonderful experimental, site-specific performances that blend movement, choreography, sound and objects.

You will find Gerard roaming with his "in memoriam" bench looking for a good spot.

The performance makes creative use of unusual public and private performance spaces at East Quay, opening up new viewing experiences for audiences.

We are giving audiences the opportunities to experience a much more intimate performance of the piece in a private location within East Quay. These smaller performances will take place on Friday 4th July at 6pm and Saturday 5th July at 11am, and can be booked via the link below.

There is no cost for the intimate performances, but booking is essential.

On Saturday 5th July at 2pm, there will be a public performance of the piece at East Quay which is open for anyone to watch.

The East Quay Kitchen will be open for food and drink.
