WEEK 1: PAINT
Each week, discover a new technique and explore art through playful, hands-on workshops. Free drop-in workshops run Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 11am–1pm.
TUESDAY 28TH JULY
GIANT JOY MURAL
11–1pm, all ages, family workshop, Free*
Work together to create a large-scale mural using paint and a range of found objects for mark-making. Explore colour, movement and expression as you contribute to a bold, collaborative artwork.
WEDNESDAY 29TH JULY
STRING PAINTING
11–1pm, all ages, family workshop, Free*
Dip string into paint and drag it across the surface to create flowing, abstract lines. Layer colours and experiment with shape and movement to build up your design.
THURSDAY 30TH JULY
PAINT CHASING
11–1pm, all ages, family workshop, Free*
Use brushes to “chase” small found objects across the surface, guiding them through paint to create playful, energetic line drawings. Explore movement and chance in this process-led activity.
Art activity available daily in the foyer from 10am to 5pm throughout the holidays. Gallery exploration activity sheets are also available for the duration of the exhibition.
