SUMMER HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS: Week 2

WEEK 2: TEXTILE
Each week, discover a new technique and explore art through playful, hands-on workshops. Free drop-in workshops run Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 11am–1pm.

TUESDAY 4TH AUGUST
COLOURFUL PAPER WEAVING
11–1pm, all ages, family workshop, Free*
Explore colour, scale and proportion by weaving together papers of different thicknesses. Create bold patterns and playful checkerboard designs using simple weaving techniques.

WEDNESDAY 5TH AUGUST
SANDPAPER FABRIC PRINTS
11–1pm, all ages, family workshop, Free*
Draw onto sandpaper using crayons, then transfer your design onto fabric using heat. Bring an old t-shirt or tote bag if you’d like to print onto your own item.

THURSDAY 6TH AUGUST
BIG STITCH SEWING
11–1pm, all ages, family workshop, Free*
Use hessian as a base to create large, expressive stitches with colourful yarn. No sewing experience needed—this workshop is all about experimenting and making bold, abstract marks with thread.

Art activity available daily in the foyer from 10am to 5pm throughout the holidays. Gallery exploration activity sheets are also available for the duration of the exhibition.
