Conceived during 2020; reflecting a time in Watchet when for many the quality of life was marred by the deep mud in the harbour and marina. The sound of masts clattering in the wind was missing; boaters didn’t see the town as attractive and went elsewhere, as did other tourists. This was causing considerable commercial impact locally and the spirituality of the townsfolk dampened as no end to that problem was in sight.
Now in 2021, with a new marina operator, the mud is being removed and the fabulous East Quay installation up and running this exhibit slips into history and will hopefully remain there.
