We’re looking for a West Somerset/Somerset-based artist to join the third year of a three-year project connecting local artists and teachers across eight West Somerset schools.
The project supports teachers to build creative confidence, wellbeing and practical skills, while creating a supportive Teacher-Artist network and developing creative resources for use in schools.
Year 3: Co-designing Creative Projects

- Develop a creative toolkit of ideas, techniques and activities for use in the classroom.
- Take part in monthly collaborative sessions with teachers and other artists.
- Join termly artist-only creative and development sessions.
- Plan and deliver a 1-hour art wellbeing or parent-and-child session in a school each term.
- Work closely with one school to co-design and deliver an art project equivalent to five days, responding to the school’s needs and curriculum aims.

- Based in West Somerset/Somerset.
- Collaborative, approachable and enthusiastic about sharing their practice.
- Interested in experimentation, creative learning and working outside their usual style.
